SJI Celebrates the Holiday Season with Donation of $81,000 to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey
FOLSOM - In celebration of the upcoming holiday season, SJI presented the Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) with a donation check from the company’s annual employee giving campaign.
In addition to the check, totaling $81,760 for 2024, SJI also announced the commitment of donating $103,003 to the CFBNJ through its employee giving campaign in 2025.
“Incredible partnerships like the one we have with SJI allow the CFBNJ to continue to serve the growing need in our communities,” said Elizabeth McCarthy, President & CEO of the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. “We are honored by the generosity of SJI’s employees, and we’re thrilled that this donation is enough to provide food for more than 300,000 meals for our neighbors in need.”
The Community FoodBank of New Jersey, a member of Feeding America®, works to end hunger by distributing food to more than 800 community partners – including food pantries, soup kitchens, and child and senior feeding programs – and by connecting neighbors in need with supportive solutions.
“At SJI, we are incredibly proud to support the Community FoodBank of New Jersey this holiday season,” said Lisa Bond-Holland Esq., Vice President of ESG & Corporate Secretary, SJI. “We continue to witness the devasting impact of hunger every day, and our continuous support of the CFBNJ reflects our unwavering commitment to helping those in need in the communities we serve.”
