ATLANTIC CITY–South Jersey Industries (SJI) recently celebrated Veterans Day by hosting a special event with its Veterans Engagement Team (VETS) employee resource group and the New Jersey Veterans Network at South Jersey Gas, a subsidiary of SJI, in Atlantic City.
SJI presented the New Jersey Veterans Network with a donation check from the company’s annual employee giving campaign, totaling $77,766 for 2024. SJI also announced the commitment of donating $94,910 to the New Jersey Veterans Network through its employee giving campaign in 2025.
“We are immensely grateful to SJI for their generous support,” said Frank “Doc” Schupp, Director of Veteran Outreach, New Jersey Veterans Network. “This donation not only strengthens our mission to serve our veterans but also exemplifies the true spirit of community and compassion. Together, we’re making a lasting impact on the lives of those who’ve sacrificed for our nation.”
VETS is an employee resource group at SJI that supports the personal growth and professional development of former servicemen and women who have transitioned to the workforce in the South Jersey Gas and Elizabethtown Gas service territories.
“At SJI, we are incredibly proud to support the New Jersey Veterans Network and to make an impact on veteran families in need,” said Brent Schomber, President and COO of South Jersey Gas and Executive Sponsor of the VETS Employee Resource Group. “We are grateful every day to all veterans for their service and protection of our country.”
