New Jersey Utilities Association’s 110th Annual Conference Set to “Revolutionize the Industry.”

MORRISTOWN - Registration is now open for the New Jersey Utilities Association’s (NJUA) 110th Annual Conference, set for May 28-29 in downtown Morristown.

With a theme of “Revolutionizing our Industry,” the forward-thinking conference focuses on the most critical issues and opportunities in the state’s utilities industry, which includes electric, gas, water/wastewater and broadband services that serve nearly 10 million people and businesses every day.

There is no doubt that many challenges are facing the utilities sector, as it faces unprecedented customer demand and ever-changing technologies and mandates. The NJUA is working closely with its state and federal partners on such critical topics as safe drinking water, energy efficiency and expanded capacity and workforce development – all of which will be top of mind during the conference at the Hyatt Regency Morristown Hotel.

“The utilities industry in New Jersey is at an important crossroad,” said NJUA President and CEO Richard Henning. “With the rapid expansion of data centers, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Electric Vehicles (EV) and household technologies, as well as significant population growth, New Jersey consumers are relying more and more on the safe and reliable services of NJUA members.

“The need for additional capacity on the grid, integrating new technologies to make our systems cleaner and more efficient, removing micropollutants from our water, plus ensuring broadband access for all, are just some of the topics that will be addressed during these two days of learning and sharing,” he added.

The conference will feature panels with key industry and government officials, including former Gov. Chris Christie, Board of Public Utilities President Christine Guhl-Sadovy, PJM Executive Vice President – Market Services & Strategy Frederick “Stu” Bressler, Rutgers Economist James W. Hughes, S&P and other organizations that are driving sustainability policy in New Jersey and beyond.

The conference, which will be moderated by New Jersey’s finest journalists: Steve Adubato, PhD, Anchor, “State of Affairs” on PBS, Tom Bergeron, former editor of ROI-NJ, and Brian Thompson, recently retired from WNBC-NY.

This will once again be a top event in the sector.
