BRIDGEWATER - Hamilton Primary School fourth grader Neel Sood is the grand prize winner in the Annual Protect Our Watersheds Art Contest through New Jersey American Water.
Sood was chosen as the first place winner for talking about the importance of protecting natural resources through exceptional artwork. He won the award for his drawing of water and land protection and conservation, which provides tips everyone can use to protect and love their watershed.
“All of these actions will help to protect our watersheds and to conserve water, which is our most precious resource,” Sood said.
“This inspired me to create my poster, which shows me planting seeds, recycling and picking up litter,” Sood said. “I drew a heart to show that if we love our watersheds, they will lead to beautiful scenes in nature.”
Sood was awarded a $100 American Express gift card, and his artwork is featured on New Jersey American Water’s social media sites.
